Video Project Submission: July 8, 2021
Set for July 16 and 17, 2021, NextGen Dance Film Festival is an online streaming event featuring dance performers in
Calgary and surrounding areas ages 9 - 18 years! Our intention is to unlock an avenue alongside competitions and
recitals as a creative performance outlet that is inclusive to choreographers with dance film experience while
staying safe. After all of the COVID-chaos this is a great opportunity to reclaim our dance season for these dancers!
- Dance film submissions can be up to 5 minutes (new or completed dance film), in any dance genre
- Choreographers applying can be associated with a studio, youth training company or as an independent choreographer
- Choreographers can submit applications for multiple pieces.
We will make sure to be clear which submitted projects are accepted into the festival!

Dancer Self-Choreography Deadline: July 8, 2021
Any dancers in the 9-18 age range that can't particiapate in a dance film project but is interestedin submitting a video of themselves dancing their own choreography to email the following:
- Name & age
- Song title & artist
- & their video!
Requirements:
- Video less than 1 minute
- Recorded in landscape mode
- Can be any movement genre !
